Meet the Artist . . .
ELISHA ANN
From a small town on an island in Alaska.

I found myself on an adventure of a lifetime in southern California to pursue a degree in Graphic Design. I've always aspired to be an artist ever since I was a little girl. There was something about art that drew me in and I never stopped creating. I took many art classes that opened my mind such as glass blowing, working with charcoal, and sculpture art. My favorite form of art is oil painting and I recently found a new love in pottery. Throughout the years many have told me that there is no career in art. From my experience, there is.

The first art piece I sold was in a gallery at Hotel McCoy Tucson.

The first mural I helped paint was at Coachella Valley Music Festival, the second at Lightning In A Bottle.
The first mural I painted on my own is on the walls sunbathing poolside at Hotel McCoy Tucson. The second mural is in room 330 at the same hotel. I ended up working at that art hotel for 5 years. The best part, I painted a mural at each property. Now who says that you can't make a career in art?

Even though it was the best job ever, it was time for a new adventure. I missed the trees, the smell of the ocean, fresh snow on the ground, crunchy leaves, the best seafood you'll have in your life, and most of all I craved painting a canvas more than once a year. There comes a time in your life when you have to stop and ask yourself if you're truly happy where you currently are. I wanted to be an artist and I turned down many opportunities in the past to continue working on my career. So I made some changes in my life, fell in love with a man from my hometown, and moved to the Pacific Northwest.

My father once told me, "I lived my life, go live yours." So I am.

I'll be painting, kayaking, visiting the ocean often, dancing in the rain, and eating fresh fish.
